The short version
- We use only the cookies the site needs to work: to keep you signed in, and to count a visit to an ingredient page once.
- We do not use advertising or analytics cookies at the moment, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block the sign-in cookies, you cannot stay signed in.
- If we add other kinds of cookies later, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
This policy explains how Inzenzo uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of our Privacy policy: please read them together. “We”, “us” and “Inzenzo” mean the operator of this website.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember something between pages or visits, such as the fact that you are signed in. “Similar technologies” means things like local storage, which work in the same way. We do not store tracking identifiers in local storage or any other browser storage.
The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_ followed by a code | Keeps you signed in after you log in or create an account. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser, or 14 days if you tick “Remember me” |
| wordpress_sec_, wp-settings- and wordpress_test_cookie | Used on the login and administration screens of WordPress, the software the site runs on. Only our staff use those screens, so regular members do not receive these cookies. | Strictly necessary (staff only) | From the browser session up to one year |
| olfx_v_ followed by a number | Counts a visit to an ingredient page once, so reloading the page does not raise its view count. It holds no personal information. | Functional | 1 hour |
| comment_author_ followed by a code (three cookies: name, email and website) | Saved only if you comment on an article as a visitor and tick “Save my name, email and website in this browser for the next time I comment”. They fill in the form for you next time. | Functional, set only if you choose | 1 year |
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work, so the law does not ask for your consent to set them. The functional cookies above only remember something you did and are not used to follow you around the web.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or measurement cookies, or social media tracking cookies at the moment. If we add any of them, for example to show ads or to measure how many people visit, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before they are set, where the law requires it.
Other services on the site
- Fonts: our fonts are served from our own site, so loading them does not contact Google or any other font service.
- Profile pictures: if you have not uploaded a photo, your picture may be loaded from Gravatar, a service run by Automattic. Your browser asks Gravatar for the picture, which can send your IP address and browser details to it. You can avoid this by uploading a photo. See the Gravatar privacy policy for how it handles that information.

How to manage cookies
- Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. Look for “Privacy”, “Cookies” or “Site data” in your browser settings. The steps differ from browser to browser, so use the help page of the browser you use.
- If you delete cookies, you are signed out. If you block the sign-in cookies, you cannot stay signed in and parts of the site that need an account will not work.
- A private or incognito window deletes cookies when you close it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. When a change matters, such as a new type of cookie, we will tell you on the site before it applies.
