IFRA Calculator
Check whether an ingredient stays within its IFRA limit in your finished perfume, and see how to fix it if it does not.
How it works
- Choose the product category. Perfume (eau de parfum, eau de toilette, cologne) is Category 4.
- Search for your ingredient by name or CAS number. We look up its IFRA limit for that category and fill it in for you.
- Enter how much of the ingredient is in your fragrance concentrate (your raw formula).
- Enter the final concentration of your perfume, meaning how much concentrate goes into the finished product.
We work out how much of the ingredient ends up in the finished perfume and tell you whether it passes.
What if my ingredient is not found?
Not every material has an IFRA Standard. If nothing is found, check the IFRA Standards library on ifrafragrance.org, or type a limit yourself if you have one. Natural materials (essential oils, absolutes) can contain restricted components even when the material is not listed.
Need a CAS number first? Search for it on our home page.

IFRA data comes from the IFRA Standards overview stored on this site, so it is only as current as the last import. It is a summary: the individual IFRA Standards prevail and some limits depend on conditions in their notes. Natural materials can contain restricted components even when not listed. This tool checks one ingredient at a time; some Standards limit a group of materials together. It is a guide, not safety or regulatory advice.
